Laurel Family Camps
First week starts on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Laurel Family Camps warmly invite campers of all ages to enjoy a week of community and spiritual growth.to enjoy a week of community and spiritual growth. New Church Live
Please join us for our weekly New Church Live service, part of our current series, at 10:30am at the at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center. As a reminder, we are working to serve a new audience, so the service will have a "new" format that features a New Church message wrapped in accessible language, contemporary music, and engaging video. From our services, we will seek to actively involve people in service and small group activities. Please join us and bring a friend!
KidsLive - Sunday Worship Program
Please feel free to bring your newborn to 5th Grader to "KidsLive," associated with New Church Live, a series based, worship service with an engaging and relevant environment developed just for kids. Our current 4 week series is entitled "Listen." Services will be held Sundays at 10:30am in the Fine Arts building on the Academy of the New Church campus, across the path from the Mitchell Performing Arts Center.
Jacob's Creek Family Camp
This weekend camp starts on Thursday, July 29, 2010 and runs until August 1st. New Church Family Camp at Jacob's Creek warmly invites campers of all ages to enjoy several days of community and spiritual growth. Our theme this year is "Repentance and Forgiveness,"; with presentations by New Church ministers and lay people, spiritual growth groups, programs for teens and children, morning worship and vespers, rustic woodland setting. Independence Day Festivities - Monday, July 5th
Our annual day full of activities is on Monday, July 5, 2010 and begins at 9:30am with s Sons of Art musical performance followed by a Parade at 10am in front of the Academy of the New Church Secondary School (ANC Triangle) and ends with Fireworks at 9pm on Asplundh Field House athletics field. Remembrance Service - June 16th
Wednesday, June 16th, 7:30 pm at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral. This special service is especially for anyone who has lost a loved one. Please join us and bring your friends.
Landmarks in Light (Bryn Athyn Historic District) - June 17th
Thursday, June 17th from 9 to 11 pm. Please join us for an evening of quiet reflection as you explore the expansive grounds of the Bryn Athyn Historic District. Bryn Athyn Cathedral, Glencairn Museum and Cairnwood Estate will be lit and open for a rare night view of these historic buildings while recorded classical music is played across the grounds. This special event is on Friday, June 18, 2010 and begins at 6:30pm at Heilman Hall in the Society Building. . New Church Day Picnic, Pageant and Cathedral Lighting - June 19th
Event is on Saturday, June 19, 2010 and begins at 6:30pm with a picnic on the Cathedral lawn followed by a pageant at 7:30pm and finally with special lighting of the Bryn Athyn Cathedral at 9:00pm. Please join us for this special annual event!
Doctrinal Class - Barry Halterman: 4/23/10
Tibetan Buddhism and the New Church: Spiritual Cousins? Dessert 7 pm – Class 7:30 pm – Heilman Hall. Using a PowerPoint presentation that complements the creation of a sand mandala, Rev. Barry Halterman will elaborate on his talk from September 2007, The Universe in a Grain of Sand: A New Church Perspective on Tibetan Buddhism and the Sacred Art of the Sand Mandala.
