Bryn Athyn Choir - Come Sing with Us
Come sing in the Bryn Athyn Cathedral Choir. The Cathedral Choir is a classical choral experience that welcomes all singers high school age and up from both within and without the Bryn Athyn community. The Cathedral Choir, conducted by Christopher Simons with Terry Schnarr at the organ, presents music at the 11 o’clock Cathedral Service approximately twice monthly, and on holidays and other special occasions. Widows & Widowers: Still United - New Website
Many congregation members are aware of the monthly support group, held at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral, for Widows & Widowers (1st Monday of the month). In her effort to provide support and comfort to this group and many others, group leader Donnette Alfelt, has developed a new website "Widows and Widowers-Still United" to share her insights and provide additional information for those searching to learn more about this topic.
New Church Connection - Online Magazine
The New Church's new online magazine, New Church Connection, explores the close relationship between religion and life. Every issue features relevant, inspiring content that highlights the personal nature of spirituality. A recent issue features "Grief and Acceptance."
Book Promotion - Why Does God Let It Happen?
Bruce Henderson’s new book, Why Does God Let It Happen?, answers these crossroads-of-faith questions from the teachings of the Writings. The book is written in everyday language for people new to our teachings. It is published by the Swedenborg Foundation’s Chrysalis Books. The book is available in the Cathedral bookstore, store.newchurch.org, the Swedenborg Foundation, Amazon and other sources.
"A Life of Worship - Live It!" - Worship & Small Group Series
Don't just attend worship, LIVE IT! Let's come together and worship the Lord as a community. By working together and supporting each other, we can become stronger individuals. Part 1 of this series will involve some time to get to know each other, followed by the service led by Rev. Dr. Thane Glenn who will introduce a "spiritual task" to work on during the week. Resurrection Service and Reception - Jason Schnarr
Jason Schnarr, age 27, passed suddenly into the spiritual world recently. A resurrection service was held August 5th on the Cathedral East lawn. The Rev. Thomas H. Rose officiated. You can listen to the service on New Church Audio.
Resurrection Service and Reception - Bishop Louis King 6/24/10 at 7pm
The following link will connect listeners to both the Resurrection Service and Reception for Rt. Rev. Louis B. King from the Bryn Athyn Cathedral on Thursday, June 24th. The service is preceded by 30 minutes of special music and was performed by Rt. Rev. Thomas L. Kline. Louis King was a special friend and family member to many in the Bryn Athyn Church and the worldwide New Church. His talents and kindness will be remembered fondly by many for years to come.
